Day by day, we're getting through our "31 Days Series"! So far, we've explored PINK children's rooms, kitchens, home exteriors, bathrooms, offices, Thanksgivings, Halloweens, playhouses, porches, baby showers, desserts, and the list goes on and on. Whew! I'm tired just thinking about it! So...what's left to study? How about...WALL GALLERIES?!
Traditionally, when we hear "wall galleries" we think photos or art. I beg to differ. Today, a wall gallery is simply a showcase of items that mean something to YOU and are arranged in an eye pleasing way. The possibilities are endless. There are no "color rules", and anything that can be hung is game! Decorators and homeowners are looking for pieces that add interest and texture-conversation pieces that POP!
Let's look at some more examples-all PINK of course!
Frame plates? Why not!
This is definitely a conversation gallery. The best part? It appears to be in a kitchen...
Who says a gallery has to be frames or something that mimics frames? The good news is it doesn't! This look can be accomplished on the SUPER cheap too! Just string a pretty, thin ribbon on the wall, add clips {or clothespins} and hang your special momentous.
Not expected but a pleasure to look at...They've fit a lot into this small wall. I like the message board {on left} for notes, grocery lists, etc.
Notice how the frames go to the ceiling here! I love this look. It appears finished, polished AND it gives the illusion of taller ceilings!
May you be inspired to take one of these ideas and make it your own. The purpose of this PINK series is not to start decorating in PINK {of course you could if you want to and that'd be alright too}, but the point is to take some of the ideas, concepts and techniques shown in the photos and apply them to an appropriate place in YOUR home and in YOUR own style!
Wall galleries - wouldn't have thought of that one - but you found some great pics to feature! Love how the pink blends in some and pops in others. My daughter walked through and asked if you had featured vintage pink appliances yet... she has dreams of filling her kitchen with them one day! Just a thought... :-)
