31 Days of PINK {Day 11}

My classes are underway, and I'm already *a little* stressed and pressed for time. I think that's obvious by how late in the day this post is!

Our first assignment in Drawing was to sit in a dim room, look at ourselves in a mirror and depict what we see using an easel. This is what I came up with. No giggles, please. It took me over FIVE hours!

I'm not sure it looks anything like me, but my necklace and frizzy chunk of hair that never goes into my pony are my favorite parts. Anyway, on to why you're really here...PINK decor!

Today, I'd like to showcase an example of an inspiring PINK wall gallery...

It's probably safe to say that this may not be most people's personal style, but that's alright. You don't have to LOVE a room to draw inspiration from it. Look first, at the perfect shade of blue paint. Notice how the white couch seems to pop right off the wall. Maybe you enjoy that element and want to accomplish a similar feeling in your own living room. This doesn't mean the paint will be blue. Maybe you like green, turquoise, mustard yellow. The list could go on.

Next, notice the distressed end table. It's not a typical end table height. Maybe that's something you would like to mimic in a certain room of your home. Maybe you would just like to be on the lookout for a similar table.

Perhaps, it's the pillows that attract your eye. What do you like about them? Is it the size or shape, or is it the colors? Ask yourself how you could infuse some aspects of the pillows in your space. Maybe it could be in the form of paint, art, a throw blanket, tile, rug, accessories, etc. Maybe it's the flower that you like. Looking at the object and really seeing it for what it is will get your mind going. Once you train your eye and mind to work together, the ideas will start coming quicker than you can control them! That's when the fun begins...

Please, share with me your favorite part of this room and why.

I'll see you tomorrow!
